Lieberman’s Organization Textbook Fundraiser

To all student organizations:

Just to give you some background, we currently have about 20 RSOs, including some fraternities and sororities, signed up for the fundraiser.  We started the program small and slow so that we could service each organization’s needs to the fullest.  This easy fundraiser is now available to all organizations.

How it works:

• Set up an account with us. All it takes to get started is an updated roster for your organization. In a spreadsheet, include the name, e-mail address, and permanent telephone number of each member.
• Once we have the roster, the next step is to buy your textbooks at Lieberman’s! That’s right, it’s that easy. Every student needs to buy textbooks anyway, so why not buy them here?
• We total up the amount of money spent by your members and we give anywhere from a 2% to 3% commission back to your organization, depending on how many people in the group participate.

Important things to know:

• There is no extra mark-up cost on the textbooks for the fundraiser. Members will still get the benefit of the Lowest Price Guarantee and any special sale prices being offered to the general public.
• Your members do not need to make special mention of this at the cash register, as long as the roster you sent us is updated. The cashiers ask every customer for a phone number at the time of purchase, so just remember that the number on the roster is the number you need to give the cashier.
• Send the roster in early, as some people like to buy textbooks early.
• Your commission is based on the size of your organization and the total percentage of your members that purchased books here.
  • For example: if 75% of your organization buys books here, your commission could bump up from 2.75% to 3% of the total purchase.
• There are no hidden catches or strings attached. The more members that buy books from us, the more money your organization can earn.
• The purchase period runs from the 18th of January to the 29th of February, and applies only to Spring 2010 textbooks.

You will want to make sure you notify your members of the fundraiser about 2-3 weeks prior to the semester since many people often forget.
